ABARTH CLASSICHE 500 RECORD MONZA '58

The Abarth Classiche 500 Record Monza ’58 is a one-off produced in 2022 by the Stellantis Heritage team, as part of the “Reloaded by Creators” project.

The car received its première at the 12th Milano AutoClassica, to celebrate the centenary of the Monza Circuit; indeed, the name takes up and pays tribute to the legendary circuit where the Abarth brand racked up six speed and endurance records in 1958, in the Nuova 500 tuned up by Carlo Abarth himself.

The team of experts at the Officine Classiche worked on a 1970 Fiat 500 according to specific aesthetic and mechanical processes, drawing inspiration for the exterior livery and interiors from the 1958 model, using the same fabric and contrasting stitching.
In terms of the colour, the panels and sides of the racing seat also feature the same contrast.
The reference to racing and historic Abarth models is also echoed in the fully comprehensive instrumentation: from the wooden steering wheel and Jaeger dashboard to the prestigious timepiece from the same brand that lasts for eight days on a single charge, an amount of time to recall that busy “week of records”. The aerodynamic rigid roof to replace the soft top is also clearly inspired by racing, as is the pair of additional headlights.

In terms of the mechanics, the car is tuned up to be especially sporty and is equipped with the twin-cylinder engine from the Fiat 500, turbocharged to a displacement of 595 cc using the Abarth Classiche 595 Tuning Kit.
To round off this model, the Abarth Classiche and “Record Monza” badges – exclusives for this car – serve as further evidence of the attentiveness and know-how of the Heritage team.

If you’d like to show an interest in the Abarth Classiche 500 Record Monza ’58, please e-mail your contact details to heritage@stellantis.com. We’ll be in touch as soon as possible to provide you with the information requested.
