The history of four world-leading Italian motoring brands
From the most emblematic models to the most successful, revolutionary people, and the most significant events, this section illustrates and celebrates the cornerstones of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth.
Reloaded by creators is the Heritage project involving the sale of a small number of classic cars from the Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth brands: historic models, with certified authenticity, restored to their original beauty by the Constructor itself.
The 1000 Miglia 2026 is back off to flying start, on a journey of over 1,900 km winding along the legendary “figure of eight” inspired by the original editions of the race. Over 400 historic cars will be at the starting line before they cross Italy in five stages, passing Renaissance cities, coastlines, historic villages and enchanting landscapes.
STAGE 1
BRESCIA – PADUA
In the footsteps of a legend
From the traditional start on Viale Venezia to the arrival in Padua, the 1000 Miglia 2026 kicks off with a stage taking in the unmistakable landscapes of Lake Garda and the beauty of the Veneto.
The 1000 Miglia 2026 kicks off from Brescia, amidst the noise of the engines and the rapt silence of the driving crews’ emotions.
Stage 1 begins on the meandering roads of the Trompia and Gobbia Valleys, all the way to Lumezzane, a brand-new feature on the 2026 route. From there, the journey becomes more challenging and sinuous, crossing the Passo del Cavallo and Valle Sabbia, where every hairpin bend requires precision and respect. The route continues on the banks of Lake Garda before entering the Veneto, up to Vicenza, followed by Padua.
A journey through landscapes, castles, Renaissance cities and tradition, alternating between medieval villages, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and timeless scenery.
STAGE 2
PADUA – MONTECATINI TERME
In the footsteps of a legend
In stage 2, the race changes pace through the heart of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany at their most authentic.
Stage 2 of the 1000 Miglia 2026 will depart from the elegant atmosphere of Abano Terme to head towards the heart of Emilia-Romagna, passing through local areas that have made passion for engines their true culture.
As the cars flow between Ferrara and Modena, before tackling the hairpin bends of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, the road becomes more challenging and every hairpin bend acts an invitation to find the perfect rhythm.
Between the Abetone Pass and the surrounding valleys, driving itself takes the leading role: a succession of panoramic corners, climbs and descents to put the cars and crews to the test, repaying every effort with breathtaking views.
The day ends in Montecatini Terme, with its Art Nouveau architecture and the charm of spa towns.
STAGE 3
MONTECATINI TERME – ROME
In the footsteps of a legend
From the Tuscan hills and the blue Tyrrhenian Sea to the capital, the Freccia Rossa flows through landscapes suspended in time, towards one of the race's most iconic finishes.
Stage 3 of the 1000 Miglia 2026 takes the Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint to the heart of Italy at its most scenic, passing the hills of Tuscany, historic villages and roads that seem suspended in time. From Montecatini Terme, the route winds alongside the historic walls of Lucca and the Tyrrhenian coast.
Between fast stretches, ups and downs and roads that follow the profile of the coast, the route offers a continuous alternation of emotions and landscapes.
The route then turns in towards the Lazio hinterland ahead of the arrival in Rome, where the beauty of the roads gives way to the echo of the engines as they pass the traditional "halfway mark”.
STAGE 4
ROME – RIMINI
In the footsteps of a legend
Leaving Rome at dawn, the race rises through Italy, taking in hills, medieval villages and sea views, until it reaches the Romagna Riviera.
Stage 4 of the 1000 Miglia 2026 bids farewell to Rome at first light to begin its ascent northwards, along a route that constantly changes pace and landscape.
After the fairytale views of the hills near Orvieto and the roads immersed in the Valdichiana, the race alternates flowing stretches and more technical routes, including climbs, corners and views opening out onto the Tuscan hills.
Arezzo, San Sepolcro and the Republic of San Marino mark an intense day, in which every kilometre sets out our entire national identity.
Then, on the horizon, the sea appears: the arrival in Cervia-Milano Marittima gives the crews the satisfaction of a stage experienced in full right up to the final corner.
STAGE 5
RIMINI – BRESCIA
In the footsteps of a legend
The last few miles of the race pass through Renaissance cities, alongside lakes and on legendary roads, ending a journey that continues to excite generation after generation.
From Cervia-Milano Marittima to Brescia, stage 5 of the 1000 Miglia 2026 accompanies the crews towards the most keenly awaited and perhaps most difficult moment to face: the finish line.
The road flows through fast stretches and familiar landscapes, with the awareness of having reached the final chapters of an extraordinary journey growing stronger from one mile to the next.
Ferrara, Mantua and Desenzano del Garda become the settings for a route that acts as an invitation to enjoy every corner, every panoramic view and every moment still to be experienced.
Then Brescia. Back to where it all began and to where the conclusion of the race resembles more a promise of return than a true farewell.
Hanging in the air is only one certainty: the timeless charm of the most beautiful race in the world.
